Nyanga

For today's May Day posting, I have chosen my favorite place on Earth. Nyanga Village in North Eastern Zimbabwe...about 3 hours drive from where I was born (Harare).

The colours and shapes characteristic of Zimbabwe's untouched outdoors bring the fond memories flooding back.

My heart goes out to the people of Zimbabwe who continue to live under oppression - and challenge all my visitors to learn just one new fact about Zimbabwe today.

Amazing photo! I really love it.

My new Zimbabwe fact: though English is the official language, less than 2% actually consider it their native language.

I think you hit the nail on the head. For some reason, and I don't know why, people watching television, right now, don't think about anything or anybody else anywhere in the world. Oh, to be sure, they claim they do, but you can't pick one out of ten or twenty who would tell you what country your post is about. We are not educated people really.

My Theme Day portrait is of the "Peashooter" and the National Museum of the United States Air Force. Hope you like flying.
